A number of A-lister celebs will be in Toronto next year as they shoot the most recent DC Comics’-based flick – Jared Leto and Will Smith were announced as stars of the movie “Suicide Squad,” which will be filmed in TO throughout 2015.

On Tuesday, Warner Bros., the production company behind the high-budget project, confirmed that the two stars would be cast in the film, along with actors Tom Hardy (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight Rises”) and Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Pan Am”). Smith will play the anti-hero Deadshot, Hardy will play the group’s leader Rick Flagg, and Leto will take on an incredibly challenging role, the Joker, the first actor to do so since the last Heath Ledger.

The Suicide Squad, also known as Task Force X, are a group of super-villians who are performing secret missions in hopes of gaining lighter prison sentences. According to CBC News, David Ayer, who is best known for the recent release of the World War II tank thriller “Fury,” will write and direct the action-packed flick, and they are slated to start production in Toronto some time in April.
