You know when you leave your car windows open when it rains? Or when you don’t check the forecast before going out and get caught without an umbrella in a massive downpour?
Well, something like that happened to the Miami Marlins in their opening day game versus the Atlanta Braves today. Turns out the team forgot to close their stadium’s retractable roof, enabling a thorough drenching of a field that the Marlins were incapable of covering, thereby causing a rain delay; they don’t have a tarp.
Because, y’know, they have a retractable roof and stuff.
