Piers Morgan was refused a handshake from Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey following the club’s 0-0 draw against Chelsea, with the midfielder seemingly having not forgotten the tough time the presenter/newspaper editor gave him during his early years at the Emirates.

While Ramsey is now one of the London outfit’s most valuable players during his first couple of years at Arsenal, who he joined in 2008, he struggled to find his footing in the squad. Morgan, who had previously branded him a “liability” on Twitter, claimed that he bumped into the player following the team’s match against Chelsea and that he didn’t receive a warm welcome.
Referring to Ramsey as “Whatshisname,” Morgan tweeted:
When asked whether or not Ramsey had given a reasoning behind not shaking his hand, Morgan replied:
However, Morgan conceded that despite the pair not exactly being the best of friends, Ramsey did perform well during the match, saying: “On a positive note, Whatshisname had a good game today. My motivational tweets continue to pay dividends.”
Arsenal drew with Chelsea 0-0 in a game that has all but sealed their position as Premier League winners this season, with Arsenal failing to give it their all in a match where victory would have improved the slither of a chance that they have of taking home the title this year.
