Watch 8 Trailers For Netflix’s Sense8 Original Series

The Sensate are coming.

Eight people from around the world are about to realize their intense telepathic connection with each other. They are no longer individuals, they are simply extensions of each other with access to the thoughts, the talents and the secrets that they all possess. And someone is trying to kill them.

That’s the premise of Sense8, a new Netflix original sci-fi series from J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5) and The Matrix trilogy directors, Andy and Lana Wachowski. With the premiere of Sense8 coming next week, Netflix has released 8 new trailers that spotlight each of the main characters who are connected as Sensates.

First up is Mike, a Chicago Police officer portrayed by former Stargate Universe star, Brian J. Smith.

The second trailer features Nomi (Jamie Clayton), a hacker, blogger and transsexual  woman living in San Francisco who was once a man named Michael.

The third trailer sets on Sun (Bae Doona) a Korean woman who is both a martial artist and a business woman coming to terms with her Sensate status while taking the fall for crimes she didn’t commit.

Next up is Wolfgang (Max Riemelt), a thief living in Berlin. You may have noticed by now that the Sensates can call out to each other for help using their telepathic connection.

Shifting over to another continent, this trailer introduces Capheus (Aml Ameen), a  bus driver in Nairobi, Kenya who finds himself in danger because of the local criminal element.

Trailer # 6 focuses on Lito (Miguel Ángel Silvestre) a famous actor in Mexico City who tries to hide his homosexulaity from his adoring fans.

The penultimate trailer shifts to Mumbai, India as a pharmacist named Kala (Tina Desai) finds herself trapped in a loveless marriage and convinced that she is losing her mind.

And finally, the last trailer falls on  Riley (Tuppence Middleton), a famous DJ living in London who is unwittingly drawn into a horrific crime.

All 12 episodes of Sense8 Season 1 will lauch simultaneously on Netflix beginning on June 5.
