X-Files fans, you’d better get used to the deluge of teaser trailers!
Fox still has just under six months before The X-Files returns for six new episodes in 2016. And that means that the network will keep parcelling out clips and previews as slowly as it can. It’s probably going to be quite some time before we get a proper trailer for The X-Files revival. So far, all we’ve gotten are 15-second clips!
Last night, during the season finale of Wayward Pines, Fox debuted yet another 15-second teaser for The X-Files. The biggest difference for this one is that we actually hear Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) speak onscreen for the first time since The X-Files: I Want To Believe feature film in 2009!
And let’s just say that they aren’t exactly happy words.
This just aired during #WaywardPines! Mulder + Scully = Amazing! #TheXFiles https://t.co/7BoZMSesex

Does anyone else think it’s weird that Mulder and Scully still refer to each other by their last names? They were lovers for a long time, you’d think that would mean that they could call each other “Fox” and “Dana” now.
Earlier this week, word leaked that The Lone Gunmen, John Fitzgerald Byers (Bruce Harwood), Richard Langly (Dean Haglund), and Melvin Frohike (Tom Braidwood) are all coming back for the X-Files revival despite getting killed off in the final season!
The Cigarette-Smoking Man (William B. Davis) will also be back, as will Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), who really should be the director of the FBI by now.
Remember, The X-Files will return on Sunday, January 24, immediately following the NFC Championship game on Fox.
