With the 50th Super Bowl currently underway, Key & Peele have offered fans their own take on it with a live stream that is surreal, nonsensical and legally prohibited from discussing the actual game. It is everything and it is called what else, ‘Real Talk – the unofficial sports commentary’.
Streaming live, the two comedians – who are styled like some Hunger Games version of The Weeknd and a racially ambiguous Jason Schwartzman – have been talking about everything from poetry reading piglets to their previous business selling soup – everything but the Super Bowl or football of course.
Giving vague commentary verging on scat jazz over blurred footage of the game, at the time of writing there were around 10,000 people watching. With strange music video-esque interludes and ad breaks featuring slowed down stock footage of fathers playing football with their sons (so creepy) this saga of dementia is ongoing and a must see.
Although you just missed the fourth and final quarter of the Pigskin-bowl – that’s right, a baby piglet football game, check out the photos.
One of them did a poop in the endzone. So cute.
So for those of you who would rather chugg a bottle of cough syrup and laugh yourself into a new dimension, this is the coverage for you.
