Filtrate Eyewear is dedicated to producing high quality sunglasses that don’t come with an astronomically high price tag. Founded in the land down under in 2003 by Wade Sutton and Andy Harler, this brand is focused on proving that you don’t need to blow an entire paycheck  on your new favorite sunglasses.

Filtrate Eyewear has invested in a production process that allows them to manufacture shades made to stand up to your active lifestyle: be it surfing, snowboarding or just spending endless hours on the beach. The flexible frames are made with intelligent materials: nylon allows for bending without breaking; raw acetate (a non-petroleum based plastic made from natural cotton and wood fibers) is used to create the form;. Monel metal forms the corrosion-resistant core. The combo allows for the development of distinct and unique silhouettes.

Some of our favorite iterations include the gender neutral Brinley. and the slightly oversized, super wearable Hotel. Filtrate has even ventured into the world of collaborations, teaming up with Hippy Killer Garage to make aerodynamic riding glasses, perfect for day or night. The result is stylish shades that look good and have been tested to withstand high winds and fog.
