Google has unveiled what might just be its greatest Google Doodle ever, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Rubik's Cube with a playable, animated version of the retro puzzle.
Despite only being available to play today (May 19th), the Google Doodle has inevitably already been solved. Watch the above video of it being cracked in under two minutes.
The Rubik's Cube was invented in 1974 by Hungarian architect Erno Rubik who, despite being the inventor of the puzzle, wouldn't solve it until a month after he had created it. The puzzle was licensed to the Ideal Toy Corp in 1980 and quickly became a phenomenon, shifting over 350,000 units and becoming the best-selling toy ever.
