Fashion: End of Summer Looks Meet Destinations

At the top of the list is Miami, FL. No big surprise there, but what may surprise you is the average daily room rate (ADR) which if you book early is around $129. That leaves you more money to party and enjoy a cocktail or two…or three. But what would you wear? Well, end of summer doesn’t mean it’s time to put the shorts away just yet. Here’s a Nautica look that transitions perfectly from a morning sail on Biscayne Bay to a day of fun on South Beach and strolling the strip to party the night away.

The second, third and fourth bargain spots were somewhat unexpected but have tons of various attractions and things to do and see. They are Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, and the city of brotherly love Philadelphia, PA. In Dallas the ADR is $90 which is certainly one good reason to head out west. Atlanta’s ADR is around $119 and Philly comes in at $165. So whether you’re interested in catching a Big-Tex football game, satisfying the science fiction, gamer in you at Dragon Con in Atlanta or enjoying the Made In America Music Festival on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, there’s no shortage of things to do. So to look your best, remember you can and should break all of the rules.

White isn’t meant only to be worn in summer as the old fashion rules are now obsolete. Take a chance. Rock your white pants after Labor Day (above) and remember, tie-dye is a great fashion statement for a music festival and it shows you’re right on trend for the season.

Rounding out the top 5 list is good ‘ole California. You can take a trip to Cali where the ADR in LA is only $133. Now California, like NYC always offers a fun list of exciting things to get into but there’s also quite a few beaches only a short drive away. That is unless you get caught up in LA traffic. Either way, you could check out the LA County Fair, Long Beach’s Funk Fest or even a Labor Day Clam Bake and Cookout at Whiskey Red’s. And what will you wear you ask? Try a layered look. It’s cool and comfortable.
