The kids of today will rule the world tomorrow, so we really hope that they turn out to be much smarter than we are, considering the mess we’ve got ourselves into.
As 2014 nears its conclusion, it’s that time of year when we ask the youngsters what they thought of the past 365 days. I enlisted the help of wonderfully precocious 11-year-old Marco to offer his thoughts on the best and worst moments from this past year.
Check out his opinions in the gallery below:

Kids Review the Year 2014
On the iPhone 6 Launch...
It's good. But the rumors spreading about the iPhone 6 Plus bending in pockets is a bit bad. You could be on a bus and then someone reaches in your pocket and bends your phone.
I'd buy one if they were cheaper. They're way overpriced. I'd go for the 6 not the 6 Plus, because it doesn't bend. If I was Apple I would've made them from a stronger metal and made them a little thicker. They'd be more expensive but they're overpriced anyway so it wouldn't matter.
On Black Friday...
That's crazy. That's deep. People getting trampled because of a TV?! It's like cattle running from the slaughterhouse. I really want an iPhone and a hamster, but I wouldn't trample someone to get them, because that's putting their life at risk for things that won't last forever.
On Band Aid 30...
Band Aid's great. They're raising money for a crisis. I might die if Ebola comes here, and I wouldn't like that.
On the Comet Landing...
That was good, but stupid because it fell over. I would've hired better people to do it.
On the Matt Taylor Shirt Controversy...
I'd wear that shirt.
On Robin Williams...
That was a shame. He was a great actor. Mrs. Doubtfire was good. It's a shame that he killed himself. It's bad that people shouted at his daughter about it (Zelda Williams was forced to leave Twitter after receiving hateful messages following Robin's death. Ed. ). It's sad because she was already going through a tough time and then people have to make it worse by being horrible and stuff.
I would've trolled them back. I'd have said some stuff to them... I can't say it here, though.
On the Best Film of the Year...
It was either the new Hunger Games or The Imitation Game . I liked that. It was about World War 2 when they cracked the Nazi codes. My Granddad enjoyed it.
On Grand Theft Auto V Being Pulled from Target in Australia...
That's crazy! [Violence] is already happening in the world anyway, which isn't a good thing but it being shown in a game that isn't even real shouldn't mean that it gets removed. If people wanna play it then they should be able to play it, and it's such a large chain of stores that it's crazy that they've took it off the shelves.
On the Best Song of 2014...
'Like I Can' by Sam Smith. Or anything from [Ed Sheeran's] X album, especially that one that goes "duh-duh... duh-duh... duh!" Actually I don't like any of his songs apart from that one.
Or Michael Jackson's Xscape album.
On the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge...
It's stupid. It was fun but to think that there are all those places in Africa without water and we're just wasting it. Did you have to donate if you did it? I didn't donate. If it raised money, that's good, but Ebola's worse.
On the Highlight of the Year 2014...
My birthday. I got money and a camera.
