Don’t get us wrong, we’re amped it’s finally here. But with spring comes a little something else: a dependency on either checking the weather religiously every morning before getting dressed, or just always being uber prepared for a change in the elements after you’re out.
Its nearly guaranteed that we’re out of the snow days, but the next few months will include spontaneous rain showers, high winds and, without a doubt, allergy season, which takes a toll on your good will and positive attitude.

Be prepared. After you toss in the notebook computer and water bottle, the backpack still has room – so always include two things: a hooded windbreaker and a hat. We’ll help in stocking your closet with these erratic weather necessities.

The Vissla Charter Jacket, $64.95, features a small logo at right chest, and instead of a big back graphic, just a VISSLA text line from the center back, down about 5″. Made from 100% polyester pongee, it also features 600 DWR coating. The Vissla Charter Jacket is certain to be rowing partners with the Brixton Barge Snapback, $34, for obvious reasons. Mustard yellow, even as an accent color, is always a good idea.
The Old Favorite

And by old, we mean, old. Circa 8th grade anyone? Here’s the deal – the Volcom V&R Jacket, $120, is the best because, I guess we have to acknowledge, not everyone is into a traditional pullover style. If you aren’t, sport one that’s more commensurate with a coach uniform, except this one has a hood. On top, try the Stussy Smooth Stock Enzyme Wash Hat, $35. Please keep in mind, purchase this hat only if you lost the one you owned in junior high. Or – if that one smells anything like adolescence, reinvest now.
Army Tides

The Anchorage jacket in olive, $300, by Publish is a brushed micro stretch twill coat that features a hood, removable bottom panel (this one can go long or short) & plenty of pockets for storing everything from tissue (#allergies) to that sly flask filled with aged whiskey. Partner it with the mismatched Route 16 Cactus Snapback, $32, by Benny Gold, for monochrome bliss with street cred.
