Growing up with Mr. T was a damn privilege for millennials and Gen Xers. We’re referring to the brash-talking, tough-but-gentle dude with a mohawk who often appeared decked out in gold chains and starred in the ‘80s hit series The A-Team.
But if you grew up in the ’80s and ’90s, you knew this man as the guy who’d perpetually tell you he pitied the fool, especially if they did drugs. He’s also known for some memorable film roles, including the feisty Clubber Lang in Rocky 3.
So that’s why it’s so hard to believe that this ’80s icon just celebrated his 70th birthday. But after a long and prosperous 70s years of pitying fools, Mr. T. says he can only longer keep up with all these fools running around today. Moreover, he tells Mandatory that he might be getting too damn old to pity fools.
“While I’m happy to be alive and healthy, there’s just no damn way I have the energy for all these damn fools running around,” said Mr. T. “I mean, you’ve got these Karens throwing flip outs in grocery stores, people refusing to wear masks during a plague and taking horse dewormer instead of the vaccine, and a billionaire acting like a petulant teenage boy.”
If you ask us, now seems like the best time of all to be giving the business to all the infinite amount of fools we have in our ranks in government and Hollywood. So we had to press Mr. T a little further in the hopes that he would change his mind.
“Look, I’m not saying that I’ll never pity a damn fool again or anything,” he told Mandatory. “I’m just saying that I’m going to need a little time to recover after pitying them for all these years.”
So it looks like Mr. T isn’t quite done pitying all these fools but just taking a much-needed break.
