At the Gallifrey One “Doctor Who” convention in Los Angeles, CraveOnline and Girl on Geek had the pleasure of speaking with Daphne Ashbrook. Long time “Doctor Who” fans should remember that Ashbrook portrayed Dr. Grace Holloway in the 1996 “Doctor Who” TV movie that aired on Fox.
And while Grace never got to go on another televised adventure with the Doctor, Ashbrook did get a chance to play off the Seventh Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) and the Eighth Doctor (Paul McGann)! Grace also holds the distinction of being the first female companion to romantically kiss the Doctor; which came up at least once during our interview with Ashbrook.
Ashbrook also shared how she came to be on the “Doctor Who” TV movie and her part in the legacy of the franchise as well as her favorite fan encounter, her upcoming convention appearances and her current projects.
Special thanks to 5thperiod.com for filming this interview. You can also check out our interview with Sylvester McCoy from Gallifrey One!
