At the end of its second episode, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” raised doubts about whether Skye (Chloe Bennet) is loyal to S.H.I.E.L.D. or if she is a double agent for Rising Tide. Even Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) himself weighed in when he told Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) that “the new girl” is a risk.
In the new preview scene from this week’s episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Skye’s loyalty to Coulson and the rest of team is tested as Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) and Coulson attempt to track down their latest target.
ABC’s synopsis for the episode appears to confirm this:
“The team travels to Asia to track down a girl in a flowered dress who holds the key to locating a young man with a dangerous power. Meanwhile, Skye’s loyalties are divided between the team and Rising Tide.”
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” continues Tuesday night at 8pm on ABC.
