One of the few things that “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” hasn’t done to improve itself this season is to give a much deserved series regular promotion to B.J. Britt. Get on that, ABC and Marvel!
In the last episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) was horrified that Coulson (Clark Gregg) was handing him over to his brother, Senator Christian Ward (Tim DeKay). And while the jury is still out about which Ward brother is more evil than the other, Grant Ward took the opportunity to kill his army escorts and escape.
ABC has released a preview scene from next week’s episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in which Agent Triplett (Britt) is the first man to catch up to Ward. And unfortunately for Trip, Coulson and the Senator want brought back Ward alive.
Can Trip take down Ward by himself? More importantly, can Trip survive a one-on-one confrontation with Ward? As a recurring guest star, Trip is always going to be more vulnerable than the rest of the main cast members until the powers that be give Britt that promotion. I suppose it all depends on whether the creative team wants to build Ward back up as a primary villain by doing something truly unforgivable…
