Just For Laughs Festival In Montreal Is In Full Swing

One of the country’s biggest comedy events is going on now in Montreal, the Just For Laughs Festival, which runs until August 1st and will feature some of the biggest names in comedy, from Nathan Lane and Russell Peters to Jeremy Hotz, Lewis Black, and even hockey great PK Subban.

Other gala events will feature stars such as Jeff Goldblum, David Cross, Howie Mandel, and Carrie Fisher.

Tonight, this year’s installment of The Nasty Show premieres at Metropolis, hosted by Mike Ward. Bobby Slayton a.k.a. the Pitbull of Comedy. Completing The Nasty Show cast will be Brad Williams, who achieved four standing-ovation performances at the Neil Patrick Harris Gala in 2015, hysterically dark Paula Bel, Just For Laughs 2012 New Face, Thomas Dale, and one of the most in-demand touring comedians, Ralphie May. There will be 13 Nasty Show performances in total.

And former Habs’ player PK Subban, who was recently traded to Nashville, will take to the stage to try his hand at comedy for the first time. His gala event features a lineup of hilarious comedians, and the show will take place on August 1st at 7pm at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in Place des Arts.
