The crossover that could never happen on TV has come to comics! 50 years after Batman and The Avengers shared the airwaves, Steed and Mrs. Peel have finally paid a visit to Gotham City.
Unlike some of his modern day counterparts, Batman ’66 is always looking to meet new friends, while John Steed and Mrs. Emma Peel have already proven their worth as allies. But against their mutual foe, can even the combined might of the Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder joined with television’s original Avengers be enough to carry the day?
DC Comics and Boom! Studios have teamed up for the digital first comic, Batman ’66 Meets Steed and Mrs. Peel, and in CraveOnline’s exclusive preview for this week’s chapter # 6, Batman and Steed track the dastardly villains who managed to breach the Batcave. Meanwhile, Robin discovers the downside of riding with Mrs. Peel…or perhaps she’s just pulling his leg.
Batman ’66 Meets Steed and Mrs. Peel # 6 was written by Ian Edginton, with art by Matthew Dow Smith and colors by Wendy Broome. And check out that snazzy cover by Michael and Laura Allred! Here’s DC’s solicitation text for the issue:
“Bruce Wayne pays a call on Miss Michaela Gough, but it’s up to Robin, Steed and Peel to save him when she orders the Cybernauts to clean up this loose end.”
The chapter will be available for download Wednesday via the DC Comics App, Readdcentertainment.com, iBooks, comiXology.com, Google Play, Kindle Store, Nook Store, and iVerse ComicsPlus
