Three years ago, Dark Horse Comics published The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, a hardcover book that lavishly explored the history of Link and his world. Hyrule Historia went on to become an unexpected blockbuster, and it remains popular with fans of Nintendo’s iconic gaming series. Now, the long-awaited follow-up project has finally been revealed.
Dark Horse and Nintendo have jointly announced that they will be moving forward with a new line of Legend of Zelda books, starting with The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts. The Art & Artifacts book will be 400 plus pages long, and it will explore the artwork created for every previous title in the series, including the classic 8-bit NES titles. According to Dark Horse, it will also have exclusive interviews with the creative team behind one of gaming’s most beloved series, as well as rarely seen promotional artwork that has never before been published in book form.
And if that’s not enough to get fans excited, this book will also feature preview art from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the newest title in the series which will be released later in 2017 for Nintendo’s newest console, the NX.
