Emily Sandé Premieres New Single ‘Hurts’

Following the success of Events, Sandé toured extensively, wrote a slew of songs for others, making a slew of cameo appearances on other artists tracks (a standout being “Free,” her collaboration with Rudimental), and then quietly vanished. Now, in preparation for her forthcoming album Long Live the Angels, she’s just dropped her new single “Hurts,” which has a strong hip-hop influence in the lyrics and the way she performs it. To promote the new track she recently stopped by BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge where she performed it and three other songs (including a cover of Rihanna’s “Four Five Seconds” and a fantastically overhauled version of her hit “Heaven.”) She’s as powerful as she was before her sabbatical. Check it out below.
