Day 3 at Riot Fest persisted in having devout fans and concert goers make tough decisions as who to see. One of the toughest may have been the mid-evening hour when Sleater-Kinney, Death Grips and Rob Zombie all took to separate stages…at the same time. The only reprieve realistically came at the end of the night, when Riot Fest organizers knew better than to provide options when none other than the original Misfits would collect to perform for the Chicago audience. No one else took to a stage, no one else had the option. From 8:45 to the close of the show, the Misfits had the full attention of everyone at Riot Fest. With it, they did what we expected, and impressed and delighted those who were undaunted by festival fatigue or a looming work day.
