Watch Our Facebook Live Q&A With The Legendary Roger Corman

In the history of cinema, there’s only one person like Roger Corman, a movie producer and director who changed the face of the industry multiple times, launching new genres and discovering iconic filmmakers who would go on to become icons in their own right. Now, the director of Little Shop of Horrors and The Pit and the Pendulum, who introduced the world to James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Jonathan Demme, Joe Dante and many more, is here in the Crave studio for a Facebook Live Q&A!

I sat down with Roger Corman in front of a live audience, who submitted questions about his classic movies, for nearly an hour to pick his brain about the past, present and future of the film industry. Together we discussed whether we would ever see an official release of his Fantastic Four movie (which was filmed, then bootlegged, but never put on home video legally), how he went about finding spectacular talent, the political and feminist streak throughout his movies, and why the future of cinema is not in appealing to the culture but in running counter to it.

All this and the exciting preview of Death Race 2050, the new sci-fi action/comedy that reboots the franchise and returns it to the original vision, as created by the late, great Paul Bartel. Death Race 2050 once again takes place in a dystopian future where the masses are appeased not just by killer car chases, but at the prospect of copious collateral damage. In other words: “Pedestrians. Bonus points.”

Death Race 2050 doesn’t come out on home video until January 17, 2017 but you can watch this exclusive video below and learn all about b-movies from the master himself, Roger Corman!
