Fox Sports Releases Video Of Man Stealing Tom Brady’s Super Bowl Jersey (Allegedly)

It appears that law enforcement and NFL officials believe it was a credentialed member of the international media who stole Tom Brady’s jersey following the epic ending to Super Bowl LI last month.

NFL reporter Jay Glazer premiered the video of the suspect on Colin Cowherd’s FS1 show Monday. Glazer said it wasn’t just some random, brazen act, but part of a very elaborate scheme to steal Brady’s jersey and sell it for roughly $500,000.

Not only is the man in the video below accused of being responsible for taking Brady’s jersey, they also found Brady’s Super Bowl jersey from 2015 and a stolen helmet from Broncos star linebacker Von Miller from last year’s Super Bowl.

It was Mexican authorities who helped to find the jersey south of the border.

The NFL released the following statement earlier today:

“Through the cooperation of the NFL and New England Patriots’ security teams, the FBI and other law enforcement authorities, the Super Bowl LI jersey worn last month by MVP Tom Brady has been recovered. Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015. The items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media. Due to the ongoing investigation, we would refer any additional questions to the FBI.”

There was this Tweet from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, giving a name.

Cowherd also points out the fact that the suspect walks out long before the entire team even enters the locker room, failing to get any interviews. Considering it appears he has a jersey in his left arm as he leaves the locker room, it looks like this may be a slam dunk case.

Although unsure of the exact charges and penalties such a crime would carry, Glazer also noted that act was a felony.
