Destiny 2 Will Be Released in September, Here’s the First Leaked Image

Destiny 2‘s release date has reportedly been confirmed in a leaked poster, with Bungie’s follow-up to its online FPS set to launch on September 8, 2017.

The poster, which features a trio of Guardians sans helmets, also reveals that PS4 owners will be granted beta access because other platforms. The poster was revealed by the Italian website Lega Network, with it seemingly being taken by an employee in an Italian gaming store. According to Eurogamer, the beta will launch in June.

Take a closer look at the poster below:

The poster doesn’t reveal much else regarding the game, other than the blue accent that can be seen towards the upper left of the poster. This is typically reserved for games that have struck a marketing deal with Sony, so alongside the reported early beta access PS4 owners should also expect the game to feature more content exclusive to the platform. Considering that this was also the case with the original Destiny, this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise.

There’s no word yet on what platforms the game will launch on, but it has been rumored that it will receive a PC release along with a brand new graphics engine. With Bungie having steadily improved upon the disappointing base game of the original since its 2014 release, hopefully its sequel will take what the developer has learned over the past three years and build upon it.
