Life is very different these days for Jessica Drew, the superheroine better known as Spider-Woman. Jess is still an ass-kicking private investigator, but she’s also a mother now. And she’s far from alone in her life, since she started a relationship with an ex-supervillain named Roger Gocking (back when he was Porcupine) and a deep friendship with Ben Urich. And while dark forces have come back to haunt Roger to drag him back into the criminal underworld, Jess’ bond with him remains intact.
In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview from Spider-Woman # 17, Jessica prepares to introduce Roger to several of her friends in the superhero community during a rooftop dinner party. For these pages, you will probably recognize Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) and several other famous superheroes when they drop by. Although it’s somewhat nebulous about when it’s taking place. Wasn’t Hawkeye supposed to be persona non grata among his fellow heroes after Civil War II? It’s a good thing that Spider-Man brought bean dip, because otherwise we’d have to question Hawkeye’s inclusion!

“Spider-Woman’s tangled with Tiger Shark, Blizzard and a whole host of super villains in her time, but nothing has prepared her to take on a Goblin. Jessica’s about to put it all on the line like she never has before.”
Spider-Woman # 17 will be released on Wednesday, March 29 in comic book stores everywhere.
