Make-A-Wish, Red Sox Build ‘Fantasy Fenway’ For Connecticut Boy

It’s no secret Make A Wish continues to do incredible things for kids across the country. But hot damn, what this group in New England did for Thomas Hastings is one of the coolest we’ve seen in awhile.

More than 100 volunteers teamed up with Red Sox management to build a ‘Fantasy Fenway,’ in Thomas’ backyard.

The little boy has a true passion for baseball and the Red Sox. So naturally, when asked if he could have anything, he said he wanted Fenway.

Red Sox groundskeeper Dave Mellor led the charge on this amazing project, a 25 percent-size scaled down version of Fenway Park; the mini version, completely accessible for Thomas, has the Green Monster, Pesky Pole, retired numbers, even the Citgo Sign. Yup, it’s legit.

Thomas has undergone at least 14 spinal surgeries and was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy just after his first birthday. So, ya know, watch this incredible build unfold and try not to cry.
