Long before Daft Punk, LCD Soundsystem or even Depeche Mode there was Kraftwerk. The German electronic music band formed by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in 1969 in Düsseldorf, laid the digital cables for much of the genre that can still be heard today.
Last year, Kraftwerk returned to the United States (minus Schneider who left in 2008) with a 3D concert experience that you had to see to believe. I was a first-hand witness, catching their awe-inspiring large-scale 3D show at the Hollywood Bowl.

Now, recordings of that concert tour will be available on May 26, in various formats, as a live film and album called 3-D The Catalogue. The live performances in the boxset were captured across a number of locations including MoMA (New York), The Tate Modern Turbine Hall (London), Akasaka Blitz (Tokyo), Opera House (Sydney), Norske Opera (Oslo), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Fondation Louis Vuitton (Paris) and Neue National Galerie (Berlin).
The Blu-Ray edition also includes a 228-page book. The set will also be available on DVD, vinyl, CD, and as a stream or download.
