Nine Inch Nails have announced not one, but two new releases. Trent Reznor revealed to fans in an email, that their 2016 Not the Actual Events EP was the first of a trilogy.

“DID YOU KNOW NOT THE ACTUAL EVENTS WAS THE FIRST PART OF A TRILOGY OF RELATED EPS THAT WILL BE RELEASED ABOUT 6-8 MONTHS APART? NOW YOU DO,” writes Reznor. You can read the full email posted on Reddit (HERE).

That’s a bold statement from the mercurial Nine Inch Nails frontman and Academy Award winning composer and not just because he did it in ALL CAPS.

If Reznor, a notorious perfectionist, can deliver on that ambitious timeline, we should see the second installment of the three-EP trilogy before July 23, which coincides perfectly with Nine Inch Nails tour date at FYF Fest in Los Angeles, and the final release near the end of the calendar year.
