“The Handmaid’s Tale” Number One Specialty Broadcast In Canada

Bravo’s most watched program ever, The Handmaid’s Tale continues to recruit viewers as Numeris final data confirmed that with an average of 794,000 viewers to date, it is the most-watched, new program on Canadian entertainment specialty TV.

The 10-episode series continues to inspire think pieces, and socially-charged movements, including a recent protest in Ohio. Critically, it continues to top best-of lists and garner accolades, including most recently, four Television Critics Association Award-nominations including Program of The Year, tying with break-out series Atlanta and CTV’s This Is Us for most nominated program.

A television adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s iconic dystopian novel, the series stars Elisabeth Moss as Offred, Joseph Fiennes (American Horror Story: Asylum) as Commander Waterford, Samira Wiley (Orange Is The New Black) as Moira, Max Minghella (The Mindy Project) as Nick, Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck, Dexter) as the Commander’s wife Serena Joy, O.T. Fagbenle (The Five) as Luke, and Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) as Ofglen. Margaret Atwood is a consulting producer.
