Comedian Hilariously Illustrates Why Flying Spirit Airlines Almost Means Certain Death

The amount of negative publicity currently surrounding airlines is almost laughable at this point. But comedian Brent Pella really brings it home with his latest bit — one he claims is a true story after flying Spirit Airlines.

If you’re unfamiliar with Spirit, Pella calls them the ‘Motel 6 of the sky.’ They’re relatively cheap. But you also get what you pay for. Therefore I would add the airline is more like the Motel 6 managed by Cousin Eddie. Ineptitude and empty promises are kinda their jam.

Spirit canceled nearly a dozen flights earlier this year that caused a near all-out brawl, they kicked one guy off a flight because of his boom box — another woman because she was allegedly showing too much cleavage, and I said ‘never again’ to the airline roughly six years ago after my Christmas flight home was cancelled last minute. The cancellation left many families in tears, the airline giving no explanation as to why they were forcing people to drive home for the holidays.

Pella, too, has a similar message — think twice before flying Spirit home for the holidays. His tale will make you laugh and cry.
