Christian Bale is known for his method acting. Not only does he regularly push himself to the limit when taking on new roles by accomplishing such feats as mastering the drums in two weeks time by listening to Pantera and Mastodon, but he fluctuates his body weight constantly. The transformations range from rail-thin to jacked as a superhero, but his latest venture lies somewhere in the middle. Right in the doughy center.

In preparation for the upcoming biopic Backseat, Bale not only bleached his eyebrows and shaved his head to better resemble former Vice President Dick Cheney, but he packed on a few lbs., as well. As expected, Twitter was not kind when presented with his new look.

Backseat is also set to star Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney, Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld and the great Sam Rockwell as George W. Bush. The film was helmed by The Big Short, Step Brothers and Anchorman director Adam McKay, as well, so its certainly one not to miss.
