Carnival ‘Cruise From Hell’ Featured Plenty Of Crazy Fights

I guess that’s what you get for deciding to hop on a Carnival cruise.

A 10 day journey in the South Pacific is being called a ‘cruise from hell’ after passengers say that numerous fights broke out on board, but the main culprits was a family who other passengers say hopped on board looking to start trouble.

“They were looking for trouble from the minute they got on the ship,” passenger Kellie Peterson said. “My husband said to take it away, because there’s kids here, and five of them surrounded my husband. They told us to watch our backs.”

Carnival decided to kick the family off the cruise and put them on a smaller boat before docking in Australia. Here’s a video from one fight:

“This is all over a thong [flip-flop sandal] being stepped on,” another passenger said.

Well, flip-flops do bring trouble. Same thing with cargo shorts. Here’s another video of a fight on this chaotic cruise.

Jesus, these people need a drink. Actually, no, they’ve probably had plenty of that. It got so nuts that people didn’t even want to leave their room.

“Fights have been going on for a few days now. We’re scared. We’ve been told to watch our backs by this group so we’re scared to go anywhere alone in the ship. We can’t wait to get off,” Peterson said during the incidents.

As far as security? Well according to passenger Michael Haddara, security guards waved broken bottles at passengers as an intimidation tactic.

So what did Carnival do about this? They simply offered everyone on board (except 23 people that were kicked off) 25% credit to make up for the issues.

“We sincerely regret that the unruly conduct and actions of the passengers removed from the ship in Australia may have prevented our guests from fully enjoying their cruise,” Carnival said in a statement.

One way to fully enjoy a cruise is to not book it with Carnival. Taking a canoe into the middle of the Pacific ocean would be more pleasant.
