‘All About That Bass’ Was Seriously Played Over A Stephen Hawking Tribute

Many folks woke up this morning to learn the tragic news: Stephen Hawking, the worldwide known theoretical physicist, scientist and mathematician passed away in his home at the age of 76. And with that tributes have been pouring in from every direction. One of those tributes? A nice little montage from the crew at This Morning. The only problem? This tribute was accompanied by Megan Trainor’s  huge hit, “All About That Bass.”

It was quite the awkward moment. Check out the snippet below. And don’t feel too bad if you laugh.

“I got all the right junk in all the right places.” Jesus. What a blunder.

And Twitter couldn’t get enough:

Well Hawking was known to have a pretty great sense of humor, so I’m sure he would have had a good laugh over this — especially if he truly was all about that bass.

Hawking was of course Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge, and became widely known after his hugely popular book “A Brief History of Time” hit the shelves in 1988.

May his work live on.
