Megan Thee Stallion has a new collab with Popeye’s. Now, the rapper who makes us thirsty is also making us hungry – with a mouthwatering condiment called Hottie Sauce.
Beginning Oct. 19, you can slather your chicken sandwich or dunk your chicken nuggets in the sauce, which is described as “sweet and bold” and “inspired by Megan’s sassy personality,” according to a press release.
The “WAP” singer supposedly collaborated with the fast-food chain’s team to create the sauce, which includes honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper. Those ingredients sound way more wholesome than what we would’ve guessed.
But the partnership doesn’t stop there. Megan plans to become a franchise owner of her own Popeyes location, and a merch line, dubbed “Thee Heat,” is also coming soon, featuring items like bikinis, long sleeve shirts, hats, tumblers and plush dog toys. (Because who doesn’t need to pick up some apparel when they’re stuffing their face with fried chicken?)
Luckily, all these new ventures aren’t just to line the rapper’s pockets. She’s making a six-figure donation to Houston Random Acts of Kindness, which promotes empathy and compassion and serves the Houston community.
“Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur,” she said in a press release. “I’ve always been a fan of the Popeyes brand and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the brand and help create the new Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce for their line-up.”
