Listen: Tears For Fears Cover Arcade Fire – ‘Ready To Start’

A surprise cover song has appeared today from 80s legends Tears For Fears. The “Everybody Wants to Rule The World” duo took on Arcade Fire‘s classic hit “Ready to Start,” and did the melancholy tune fantastic justice with an electronically-tinged take. Listen below.

The duo explained their motivation for the track on their Soundcloud account: “Having appreciated artists like Kanye West, Katy Perry, Kimbra, Nas, Gary Jules/Michael Andrews, Adam Lambert & Dizzee Rascal covering & sampling our songs over the past years, we agreed that some reciprocal cross-generational love was in order. We decided to give Arcade Fire a twist of TFF. Enjoy.“
