Rumor has it that the Sleigh Bells duo are back in action, and returning with a brand new track on Sept 3rd, according to Revolt. Keep an eye on www.bitterrivals.us to not only stream the new song when it’s time, but also scope all the details on a new album and accompanying tour dates.
Back in January, guitarist Derek Miller told Australian radio station Triple J that the new material is coming from a “different headspace, just more up and positive… not as downer.”
He added: “It’s not as dark… I kind of worked through a lot of difficult stuff on the last record.”
Singer Alexis Krauss points to the duo’s most promising single “Comeback Kid” as the starting point for the new material. “We always reference ‘Comeback Kid’ as being the last song that we recorded and that brought us in a different music direction,” she said.
Time will tell – but if “Comeback Kid” is the direction they’re going in, they’ve got our undivided attention.
