On October 10th Sony will debut a new SKU for its PS Vita. Dubbed the PS Vita 2000, it is 15% lighter, 20% thinner, and due to its replacement of the original’s OLED screen with LED, it is advertised as having 1 more hour of battery life. While its several improvements and variety of available colors sounded great on-stage during the reveal, it was difficult to see the improvements without a proper comparison.
A Twitter user from Japan with the alias jyu_kk has posted a photo of the new PS Vita 2000 running side-by-side with the original PS Vita. In the image, both handhelds are running Uncharted: Golden Abyss which many consider to be one of the best-looking games on the platform.

The increased size of the screen is being promoted as a big improvement for Remote Play, a feature that will be available at or around the PS4’s launch. With it you’ll be able to play games such as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn while away from your PS4.
