Franz Ferdinand and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have announced replacement tours after the Harvest Festival was officially cancelled last week.
Franz Ferdinand will follow Harvest’s schedule, playing in Melbourne (The Forum) on November 14, Sydney (The Metro) on the 15th and Brisbane (The Tivoli) on the 17th, marking the first Australian visit since the band released studio album number four, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action.
Making their first visit since 2010, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have also announced a similar tour that will also extend to Fremantle.
BRMC will be in Fremantle on November 13 (Metro), Billboard in Melbourne on the 15th, Sydney’s Hi-Fi on the 16th and the Hi-Fi in Brisbane on the 17th.
Harvest ticket holders will be given an early opportunity to grab tickets and will receive an email about pre-sale from Oztix ahead of public sale.
Promoter AJ Maddah has been negotiating with other acts regarding standalone tours. According to Maddah, Massive Attack will no longer be visiting Australian shores while Goldfrapp are set to follow a similar fate.
We’re still waiting to hear from Conor Oberst’s Desparecidos, Neutral Milk Hotel and Justin Vernon’s (Bon Iver) Volcano Choir.
