ACL 2013 VIDEO: Vintage Trouble on Pushing Fans’ Limits, Jam Bands & More

Vintage Trouble set the soul of Austin City Limits ablaze last weekend with a Day Two performance that inspired feverish hip-shaking among the packed crowds. Frontman Ty Taylor is an electrifying James Brown disciple with his own commanding style, while his bandmates provide the tightest, smoothest grooves this side of Motown.

We caught up with Vintage Trouble at ACL, wherein Taylor shares insight into the band’s relationship with production legend Don Was, the magic of jam bands, as well as the greatness of Austin and how its rich musical culture eclipses what many consider to be a central hub of the music industry, Los Angeles. The band also explain why it’s important to them that they inspire fans to let loose a little more than they might expect at a festival like Austin City Limits. Check it out below!
