Australian singer-songwriter Josh Pyke announced a national tour on Friday that will see him embark on a thorough nine-stop tour early next year.
Pyke’s solo Lone Wolf Tour comes on the back of July’s fourth studio album The Beginning And The End Of Everything, which peaked at No.7 on the ARIA Album Chart.
The Josh Pyke tour will feature new material and old faves, kicking off in Tasmania on February 14 before visiting Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, Perth, Newcastle and Canberra.
Pyke said the bout of writer’s block that had accompanied him since 2011’s Only Sparrows became the inspiration for the new album.
“The Beginning And The End Of Everything is the first song I wrote for the new record. And when I’d completed it, I felt surprised to find that in fact the very thing I feared enough to write a song about, (a period of writers block) had vanished, even as I was referring to it in a song, more irony,”
