The above image isn’t manipulated in any way. What you’re seeing is a raw image taken by PCGames.de which shows the PS4 laying on top of the the Xbox One. The dramatic difference in size is the first thing you probably noticed. Secondly they’re both pretty darn gorgeou—someone really should take that sticker off the Xbox One, though.
Being large isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Although it takes up more space in an entertainment center, it also allows more space for the hardware to breathe. It also makes it the perfect platform for something as wobbly as the PS4.
Joking aside, over a dozen PS4s have already been confirmed as faulty. Is the size a reason for that? Likely not. I’ll tell you one thing, though. The Xbox One is the alpha male of the two. Just look at that behemoth. I haven’t seen something that enormous since the days of VCRs and CRT TVs. You can practically use its massive space of glossy plastic to check your face before heading out to work or school in the morning.
You’d think the PS4 would be larger given its performance advantage, but it appears quite the opposite.
