Ever wanted to know what a rap superstar gets up to on the rare occasion he heads down Down Under? Currently in Australia as part of the Big Day Out, Snoop Dogg been posting a bunch of interesting photos as he tours around the country performing alongside Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire.
Most recently in Melbourne for the third leg of the Big Day Out’s six-stop Australia and New Zealand tour, Snoop spent some time getting to know the members of the city’s fire department, posting photos with them in his hotel room.
The boys in yellow reported Snoop was “absolutely lovely” according to a Metropolitan Fire Brigade spokeswoman, but declined to comment as to why the fire-fighters were called to the hotel for what was later deemed a false alarm.
“It was obviously the last thing they were expecting when they were called to the incident and from all reports he was absolutely lovely,” the MFB told The Sydney Morning Herald.
“He told them he had actually wanted to be a firefighter when he grew up.”

Having received a ton of backlash over his intended visit in the leadup to the Big Day Out, which saw a public campaign targeted towards Immigration Minister Scott Morrison to revoke his visa, Snoop posted a fairly controversial photo from his Gold Coast room a few days earlier.
Captioned ‘A Versace breakfast!!!’, the image appears to have since been removed from Snoop’s Instagram account.
The Big Day Out kicks on this Australia Day Sunday in Sydney before hitting Adelaide on the 31st and Perth on Feb 2.
