Irish/French Electronic outfit Classroom Battles has teamed up with CraveOnline for a uniquely fitting and undeniably awesome Raspberry Pi computer giveaway, to celebrate their new synth-pop EP, This Week’s Question. Pairing live instrumentation with studio software, the quartet embody a musical hybridization of analog and digital with a hauntingly captivating gravity, manipulating mediums and orchestrating magnificent worlds of sound that defy the borders of technological standards.
Courtest of Classroom Battles, one lucky winner will pick up an exclusive designed steam-punk style Raspberry Pi, a credit card sized computer (which can be plugged into a keyboard and monitor to operate) which will contain the band’s entire This Week’s Question EP as well as accompanying videos (which interlock into a 16 minute short film) and Remix EP, which is making waves on the UK dance charts.

With an immersive background in film and visual arts, the group directed a video for each song on the EP, all four videos serving as an interlocking story of self-discovery. As lead singer Tigrane Minassian explains, “the videos are interlinked in the same way as the music harmonically interlinks, the hope is that both will encourage repeat listening and viewing and that new layers (and connections both visual & sonic) will emerge as the listener gets more enmeshed.”
