First Round Of Juno Award Performers Announced

Performers for the Juno Awards were announced recently, and some hot Canadian acts are on the bill.

Juno Award nominations were also disclosed last week by CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).

The first few chart-topping artists were confirmed to perform on CTV’s broadcast, which will take place on Sunday, March 30th from Winnipeg’s MTS Centre. On the bill are multi-platinum soul and R&B singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, platinum-selling hit-maker and multiple Juno Award winner Serena Ryder, Calgary-born pop-rock twins Tegan and Sara, and double-platinum selling artists and viral video sensations Walk Off The Earth.

Also added to the schedule are East Coast rocker Matt Mays and platinum-selling Saskatoon rockers The Sheepdogs. Mays will make his JUNO stage debut this year, while three-time JUNO Award-winning rockers, The Sheepdogs, are poised to shake up the JUNO stage for their second consecutive year. The Saskatoon band returns with a special tribute performance honouring Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees, Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO).
