Morrissey has said that no one he knows wants to see a reunion of his former iconic 80s band The Smiths.
Speaking to Billboard, Morrissey said: “I don’t know a single person who wants a Smiths reunion! But, no, there aren’t any bands I like to see again because your memory of them is how they were in their prime or at their best or at their most desperate, and you look to them to be someone that they no longer are.”
Morrissey also spoke of rumours regarding the novel he is reportedly working on following the success of his autobiography, saying: “I can’t christen the baby until I at least see its head. It’s bad form, somehow.”
The lyricist then spoke of his concerns regarding the turmoil in Ukraine, saying: “Why do news reporters call the people ‘protestors’? They are the people! It’s the government who are the rebels. Silly world, isn’t it?”
