The PS4 will soon be receiving pre-loading functionality, if inFamous: Second Son developer Sucker Punch is to believed.
Pre-loading allows gamers to install a game prior to its release date, and then play it the second that it launches, without having to sit through its installation updates.
In a response to a fan on Twitter, Sucker Punch wrote: “No preload on PS4 until April and for North America, the PS Store will update at midnight PST…so 3am EST.”
The PS4 is receiving a big update next month which, among other things, will improve the quality of Twitch broadcasting, so if this is to be believed, then it’s likely that the pre-loading functionality will be added in then.
