You’ll be able to directly upload gameplay footage from your Xbox One to YouTube starting from tomorrow (April 8th), Microsoft has revealed.
An update to the Xbox One’s YouTube app will allow users to upload their gameplay footage and clips straight to the video-sharing site from the console, and will also allow YouTube videos to be displayed in Snap mode, individual YouTube videos to be added to users’ Pins, along with adding YouTube channels to OneGuide for easier access and introducing “Media Achievements”.
A statement from Xbox reads: “Starting tomorrow we’re rolling out an update to the YouTube app on Xbox One that integrates Game DVR and Upload with YouTube, making it easier than ever to capture and share game clips with the world.”
The Xbox Team also announced a GoPro app that is launching on the Xbox 360, promising that Xbox 360 owners “will be able to stream and curate GoPro video content from the largest screen in [your] house” via the new app.
