‘BatKid’ Throws Out First Pitch Before Giants Home Opener

BatKid made another public appearance Tuesday when he surprised a crowd of more than 42,000 fans at AT&T Park prefacing the Giants’ home opener. His mission — throwing out the first pitch.

In case you didn’t see it, San Francisco’s “BatKid,” aka, Miles Scott, was, in my opinion, the best story of 2013. The Kindergartner was diagnosed with Leukemia and his only wish was to be Batman for a day; the Make A Wish Foundation made that dream come true. Re-live the story here or watch the video at the bottom of the page.

Now, five months later, here is Miles, in full BatKid garb, not only tossing out the first pitch, but rolling into AT&T like a true super hero in a Batmobile Lamborghini before being greeted by pitcher Matt Cain.

Here is the original video of Mile’s wish coming true in November. Fair warning — get your tissues ready. Men, it’s okay to shed a tear over this little guy. We won’t judge!
