Washed Out‘s Ernest Greene, a synthpop maestro with a knack for magnificent melancholy, continues to expand on his musical foundation after a handful of EPs and two remarkable, downtempo LP releases – 2011’s Within and Without and last year’s Paracosm. Fans of the excellent “Portlandia” will recognize his Life of Leisure track “Feel All Around” from the show’s local-scene intro montage, while those already familiar with Greene can attest to the hypnotic gravity of his sound.
