Splendour In The Grass Sideshows Announced Pt 1

Splendour In The Grass 2014 has made a first round of sideshow announcements ahead of next month’s festival featuring the likes of Foster The People, Grouplove, The 1975 and London Grammar.

Foster The People are back Down Under looking to repeat from 2011’s memorable Splendour performance. This time round, Aussie fans will get a live taste of the LA trio’s latest album Supermodel and the high rotation singles ‘Coming Of Age’ and ‘Best Friend’.

Monday, July 28 – Melbourne (Palais Theatre)

Tuesday, July 29 – Sydney (Enmore Theatre)

The 1975 are one of the few Splendour acts prepared to visit both sides of the country during the trip Down Under and will play shows in Perth, Melbourne (x2) and Sydney to play new material off last year’s self-titled debut LP.

Sunday, July 27 – Melbourne (The Hi-Fi)

Monday, July 28 – Melbourne (The Hi-Fi)

Wednesday, July 30 – Sydney (The Metro Theatre)

International festival favourites Grouplove are back at Splendour In The Grass after last appearing in 2012. This time round the LA-based collective will be bringing new music from last September’s Speading Rumours, including the incredibly catchy ‘Ways To Go’.

Australia loves indie-pop trio London Grammar, making it no surprise the trio are back Down Under after touring- and selling out a handful of sideshows- with Southbound last December and January. LG are coming off recent appearances at Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Bestival and Fuji Rock after collecting three spots in the 2013 Hottest 100, including a top 10 finish for the single ‘Strong’.
