The photo included in Microsoft’s Xbox One Controller PC driver announcement shows Halo 2 running on a Surface Pro. Although that might not sound like news, it’s the context that matters. It’s important to remember that Halo 2 celebrates its 10 year anniversary later this year. Microsoft released a Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to acknowledge the first game, which in general was a huge success, so it only makes sense to do the same for its successor, except this time the Xbox One is out.
All signs point toward a huge Halo 2: Anniversary, and/or perhaps even a Halo HD Collection, announcement at E3. We’re only days away from Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference, so it won’t be long until we find out whether or not these rumblings are true.
